The guide began to award stars to fine dining restaurants in 1926.
At first, they offered just one star, the concept was expanded in 1931 to include one, two and three stars. One star establishments represent a “very good restaurant in its category”. Two honour “excellent cooking, worth a detour” and three reward “exceptional cuisine, worth a

Who is Rep. Tim Burchett? A Look At One of The Most Ardent Legislators

Whether it is publicly calling for the disclosure of UFO findings, or reading former Vice President Kamala Harris’ first name in incorrectly, or his recent subpoena demanding Ghislaine Maxwell to appear before Congress for her involvement in Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking ring, Rep. Tim Burchett of East Tennessee has emerged as a consistent, loud, bold, and sometimes uncensored voice in the American Congress and the media.
After serving for eight years as Mayor of Knox County, Rep. Burchett assumed office in January 2019, during the 117th Congress and under the administration of former president Joe Biden. During this period, Rep. Burchett sponsored 23 bills and cosponsored 201 pieces of legislation in the House of Representatives, three of which were signed into law by President Biden. For the 118th Congress, he currently serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, a role that requires him to advocate for government transparency and accountability, a role that has brought him into the media spotlight more often than not.
Recently, Rep. Burchett has been hot on the trail of the Epstein files, a cache of documents linked to child sex offender and trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein. After joining a considerable list of Republicans calling for the release of the files and being labeled “foolish” by president Trump for doing that, Burchett applauded the release of the files as he believes they will “pretty much cover everything”
“I applaud the president and Attorney General Bondi for wanting to release the grand jury files…“I believe that will pretty much cover everything.” he said during a Sunday interview on ABC’s “This Week.”
When asked whether unsealing the grand jury records is enough for him now, Burchett responded that it’s “a start.”
“I don’t think we’re ever going to get to the bottom of…all of it, ma’am,” he said, citing the assassination of late President John F. Kennedy and the ”magic bullet” theory, a debated theory put forward by the Warren Commission Report in the year after his assassination. That commission concluded that one of the bullets fired at the late president’s limousine struck the president and hit Texas Gov. John B. Connally Jr. in multiple places.
The week before, Burchett railed against the findings from the Justice Department’s (DOJ) report on Epstein, warning that “just because somebody flew on a plane doesn’t mean they’re a daggum pedophile.”
“I have a lot of wealthy friends, and they fly on people’s planes. And their plane will be down, and they’ll say, ‘Hey, we’re going somewhere, and we’ve got an extra seat, do you want to go?’ And they don’t even know the person on the plane,” he said.
“So, you know, that’s one of the things I worry about too…But I worry about some of those innocent names being out on that too as well,” he added.
On Tuesday July 22, 2025, Rep. Tim Burchett also announced that his motion for a subpoena directing Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s partner in crime, to appear before members of the House Oversight Committee, has been approved.
“I would like to know the cash flow. I would like to know the client list. I would like to know the apparatus they use, their method of getting getting these young folks.” he said when asked what he hopes to get out of Maxwell’s appearance before the House of Representatives.
“I want to send a message to the dirt bags that were coming for you, but I’d also like to send a message to those young souls and now they’re older, I guess, that been offended that they can come out of the shadows and that we need to love on those folks and not point a finger at them and stigmatize them. They’ve had enough of that and I would hope the media would honor that as well.” he added.
Rep. Burchett suggested that his actions have a religious motivation when the reporter asked him what if President Trump called him to stop Epstein’s investigation, he spoke his conscious during the same interview.
“I’m a Christian. I’m not a very good one. You don’t see it in my bio or anything, but ultimately I’m going to answer to my Creator, ma’am. Jesus said, “How you treat the least amongst you is how you treat me.” And that’s ultimately going to be on my conscience.”
When asked whether he was bothered about rumors of president Trump featuring in the Epstein files, rumors that were corroborated by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch, Burchett defended the president, alleging that photos of Trump’s children with Jeffrey Epstein were AI-generated. He also lauded what he called the president’s “forthcoming” response to the controversy.
