June 6, 2025 — Former President Donald Trump has once again found himself at the center of renewed scrutiny over past connections to financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. While no direct evidence has tied Trump to Epstein’s crimes, recent document releases, resurfaced testimonies, and a public feud with Elon Musk have reignited interest in the matter.
Flight Logs Confirm Multiple Trips
Flight records from the 1990s indicate that Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet at least seven times, often with his then-wife Marla Maples and their daughter Tiffany. These trips reportedly took place between New York and Florida. Despite these documented connections, Trump has repeatedly denied any impropriety, saying, “I was never on Epstein’s plane, or at his ‘stupid’ island.”
No Direct Mention in Newly Released Files
The U.S. Department of Justice recently released a batch of Epstein-related documents, but Trump was not mentioned by name. However, a 2016 deposition from Epstein accuser Johanna Sjoberg described an unplanned stop at a Trump casino during a flight on Epstein’s plane. Sjoberg made clear that she never gave Trump a massage nor witnessed any inappropriate behavior.
Elon Musk’s Explosive Claim
Tensions between Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk flared this week after Musk condemned Trump’s proposed economic plan as a “disgusting abomination.” Trump retaliated by threatening to cut government support to Musk’s companies. Musk responded with a provocative claim: that Trump’s name appears in undisclosed Epstein files — and that this may be why some documents remain sealed.
Epstein’s Lawyer Pushes Back
Civil rights attorney David Schoen, who represented Epstein in the final days before his death, publicly rejected Musk’s insinuation. Writing on X (formerly Twitter), Schoen stated:
“I can say authoritatively, unequivocally, and definitively that [Epstein] had no information to hurt President Trump. I specifically asked him.”
No Evidence, But Renewed Attention
To date, there is no substantiated evidence implicating Trump in any of Epstein’s criminal activities. Multiple investigations have not linked him to the trafficking network. Still, the resurfacing of old connections and speculation over unreleased files continue to fuel political debate and public curiosity.
