President Donald Trump remains firm that he will not concede the result of the US elections, and his team is ready to take another step in proving alleged fraud in certain states. Trump’s legal team will face the District Court in Carson City to push for the invalidation of Nevada’s election.
The Nevada certified the state’s election results, where president-elect Joe Biden was declared the winner after getting 33,596 more votes than Trump. However, the Trump campaign is not ready to raise the white flag yet, as they are set to present evidence of fraud in the major battleground states.
Trump’s lawyer Jesse Binnall told Fox News that they found thousands of instances that could prove the irregularities in the Nevada election. Binnall pointed out that there were at least 40,000 people who cast their ballots twice. Trump’s legal team also claimed that there were people on the list of mail-in voters who said that they did not vote or did not receive ballots at all before the November 3 election.
Binnall added that they present witnesses to prove their claims. One of the witnesses said that he saw several people going back-and-forth to a van linked to president-elect Biden’s camp. The witness, who is a Clark County poll worker, revealed that dozens of ballots were filled out inside the van and were eventually counted most likely in favor of Biden.
The legal team also present whistleblowers who detailed how they manipulated the counting machines during the night after the election without any attempt from election officials to prevent the illegal activity. Binnall explained that votes cast fraudulently led to the disenfranchisement of honest voters in Nevada.
Another witness asserted that ballots were delivered to undeliverable addresses, resulting in littered ballots in Las Vegas. According to the Nevada Appeal, Binnall and his camp also discovered multiple ballots delivered to one address. The Trump campaign believes that these ballots gave some people a chance to cast their votes twice, which directly affected the state’s election results.
Binnall added that records showed dead people voting in Nevada, which, he said, is a clear proof of voting fraud in the key state. They also found ballots from ineligible voters, referring to people who have already moved out of Nevada but was still able to cast their votes on November 3. A person can vote in Nevada as long as he has resided continuously in the state for 30 days and one’s precinct ten days leading up to Election Day.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal also reported that the Trump campaign complained that election workers in Clark County were instructed to commit irregularities. During the counting, signatures were considered matching as long as at least one of the letters looked the same. Trump’s camp tried to subpoena Clark County Registrar Joe Gloria to explain the alleged flaws in the validation process, but it remains to be seen if he will testify.
Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske, a Republican, has been saying that she sees no reason to overturn the election results, which gave Biden six electoral college votes.
